    Can I use Apple USB Modem with Fedora 10 ?

    I have been trying to get info on using my Apple modem on a PC with Fedora 10 on it but it dont recognise it The winmodem on the PC is not compatible with Linux as ScanModem told me. Any advice much appreciated !

    The manufacturer:device code for the modem is probably not built into the kernel for this device. Hence, it isn't recognized. A more current version of Linux (Fedora 11 perhaps) might deal with it ok. My suggestion is to try a liveCD version of FC11 and see if it works.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
