Now while installing FEDORA 8...i did not install GRUB Boot Loader........
Now when i start Laptop it goes to default XP Operating System,as Fedora cudn't find GRUB for boot...
Now is it possible to use XP bootloader....to boot Fedora 8 ????...Or any other solution for my problem so that both Operating Systems work Perfectly...

Generally, when people install Linux to dual boot, they use Grub as a bootloader and the Grub stage1 file goes in the master boot record. Since you didn't install Grub, this won't happen. Fedora won't find Grub, Grub comes first and finds the kernel. You can either install Grub to the master boot record and boot both or modify your xp bootloader to do the same. Grub is easier. To use windows bootloader, you can follow the instructions at the site below. This site explains how to do it on two drives but the procedures are the same with simple modifications:

Welcome to the forums!

I'd recommend installing a later version of Fedora since version 8 is no longer supported by the Fedora folks, and if you do so, try installing GRUB as the bootloader, because I think you'll find it easier to configure and use.
Just my own opinion, of course.oz

Well.....I saw the link suggested by YENCEK.......but any anyways i HAVE to install GRUB.......FROM Fedora....
How to do that......as i have got one Hard Disk as the case of laptop...can't extend number of hard disk.
And for loading GRUB....i need to again Install FEDORA...as new.....thats a long way of doing things.....
My query is:::
IS it possible to boot Fedora using XP boot loader....making some minor changes without installing GRUB.........as in that case i have to install FEDORA again.....
And if GRUB can be installed alone from Fedora CD...how to do that........

That's what the link I posted yesterday explains. You need to make some changes as you only have on hard drive but it's pretty simple. Use your Fedora install CD, log in as root and run the command "fdisk -l" (without quotes, lower case Letter L) and post that partition information here. Reinstalling Grub would be easier.IS it possible to boot Fedora using XP boot loader

i am not able to login into fedora, using fedora cd........it only ask for upgrade/new install/some test..........it never ask for login.......
also i tried....to go for upgrade using fedora cd....so that i can install GRUB.......but it failed...saying No Kernel packages installed......................like that.....
So how to proceed now......
Well when i installed FEDORA for the first time i didn't installed GRUB thinking that i will use XP boot loader to load Fedora also.........as sometimes installing GRUB.. can make XP to not boot......when we uninstall Fedora later...i faced this problem once.....may be i installed GRUB in MBR.....that time......
But this time atleast i wanna be little bit cousious....
Regards...

Installing fedora 11 would be a good idea. You should install grub to the master boot record of your hard disk. It should auto detect your windows installation. Even if it doesn't it's really easy adding it to your menu.lst. Alternatively you can use super grub.
