I am very new to Linux and would appreciate some assistance with my problem.

Can you install setserial from a command line????????
I need setserial but i can only boot to a CL.The program will go no further untill it gets a serial echo from the external device.
the program is looking for a data stream from ttys0 but i only have ttys4,5,6,7.
If i could redirect from ttys4 to ttys0 in the program it should work .
I am new to this and i am trying to get up to speed. I would really appreciate some help.
