    Yeah I got my drivers install, but don't i need to enable 3d support though?

    No, installing the drivers is what allows you to use 3D acceleration. What specifically are you trying to "enable"? Effects for a game or something like 3D desktop effects?

    yea I was wanting to put call of duty 4 and 5 on it, as well as the desktop effects.

    I'm not familiar with the games, but more than likely Call of Duty is going to require you to install a translation software such as WINE, as there's no native Linux version.

    As far as enabling desktop effects, I'm not 100% clear (not a Fedora user myself) but there should be something in your Desktop preferences. If not, you can download a tool that gives you fine-grained control over what effects you want called ccsm or Compiz Configuration Settings Manager.
