    DNS not resolving search paths

    Hello,
I have DNS installed and have created a new domain. Let's say the domain name is "newdomain" I have added newdomain to the search list in the resolve.conf however I have to type in the FQDN of the host for it to resolve. Is there anything else I need to do.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Cheers
    Jeff

Did you enter it as an fqdn in the search list?
It needs domain-name.com to resolve hosts on domain-name.com.
If you only entered domain-name, it wont find entries in domain-name.com.
Also, clear the cache before trying a new search after a modification.
