Unhappy Fedora 11 Nessus scans do not function correctly

    Hello!

I love using nessus to evaluate the security on my computers. I registered a scanner on my fedora 11 system (I use this for my security stuff, use the ubuntu desktop to test security stuff for fedora) and decided to nessus with fedora. I was unpleasantly suprised to find that after installing 30000+ plugins, waiting for them to compile, and finally, logging on to my nessusd server.

Then, I went to try to scan the windows partition on a computer....

SHOCK AND HORROR! It got nowhere... the progress bars stayed at 0. WHY? I've tried 2 windows computers and 127.0.0.1. Localhost was the only one that worked, the others did nothing. Wireshark revealed that my computer was not sending **any** packets.

I'm not really a Linux noob, so no need to speak down to me

Does anyone know how to fix this? I'm clueless!

The solution: Uninstall the fedora stuff, and get the stuff from the nessus site. I don't like the gui as much, but it works.
