RedHat directory server + freeradius + custom radius attributes

Hi all,
What I need to do is have a free raduis server use our RHDS server for its authentication (that part is working) and pass custom attributes from the radius accounts or groups to the freeradius server as we use custom attributes on our network gear for different privileged levels. the problem I have is that I can add the attributes and then create an object class for them to live in but I can not assign that class to any user group or user.
Any thoughts?
