Append new space with existing directory

    Dear Concern

I have a Redhat Linux Server (Linux Enterprise 4) where Oracle Database 10G is running. The existing folder space using for Oracle Databse (i.e. 100 GB) is going fullfil. I have another unpartition 300 GB disk space. I want to format that partition and intend to use that free space with this existing Oracle Database folder to increase the disk space. Can I get the direction how to perform that.

    thanks

    Hi and Welcome !

Which Filesystem are you using? Execute fdisk -l command and post output here.
    Code:
    su -
    /sbin/fdisk -l
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
