mini pci board comport addresses

Hi all.
I have a problem with vine linux (2.4.27)
I have fitted a mini pci card to a VIA nano itx mb .TYhe PCI card has Oxford 16950 UARTS ,there are no on board ports.

The trouble is that the ports are identified by setserial as ttys4 ttys5 ttys6 ttys7
instead of 1234.
Can any one help?

You are using a 2.4.27 kernel? That appears to be from 2004, and I doubt that a miniPCI card would even be recognized, much lest there being a driver for the thing.

Your problems may stem from the fact that you are using an old and outdated version of Linux. Any chance that you could upgrade, maybe the kernel? The latest 2.4 kernel source can be downloaded from here:

http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kern...4.37.6.tar.bz2

It will have to be compiled, and there is no assurance that iut will solve your problem.
