First LINUX forum
this is my first linux forum to which i was member.
The main reason is my new project involves lot of shell program in cent os. so i think its necessary to join in some active forum.
Currently i have a problem in my fedora desktop.
Recently Gnome crashed in one user , so i neglected that user nad created new user. and its working fine. But problem is all the files which i created are in that previous user permission. So i cant able to access all the file, i changed some most used file permission. And also added the group previous user to the current user, but still i cant access the file.
Is there any way to merge the user so i can able use all the files in both user permission in ease.
FYI: For regular use i will login through to root rights.
Thanks in adv..

why can't you just su in terminal and chown -R /userfiles newuser and chgrp -R /userfiles newuser ? Being unable to login that user shouldn't make any difference as long as su can change ownership of any file.
Aloof linux user #whatever.
I tested off the charts for MENSA. Unfortunately, it was off the wrong end of the chart.
