Have you tried switching from your current window decorator to emerald? Try this from a terminal or a "run" prompt
    Code:
    emerald --replace
If that works let us know so we can make that permanent.

i don't know how to do that.
    Code:
    emerald --replace
doesn't seem to work because when i run this in terminal it gives nothing neither command seems to be completly executed, it gives no output message i wait for atleast 10 mins.

If you see no error and the command line does not return, that would indicate that it was successful. Did your window borders change when you ran it? Do they change back when you use ctrl+c to interrupt the command?

Either way, coopstah's idea is better, I'd second his suggestion on installing fusion-icon.

You need to run the command fusion-icon either in terminal, or set it as something to start when you log into your gnome session. Once it is running, it will appear in the system tray, you can right click it and all the stuff is there.
