OS stops boot process "Bringing up interface"

    Hi, I have a RHEL 5.3.
I was trying to change the host ip address on the bonded interface made from 2 Broadcom interfaces.
I run the "system-config-network" script and change the bond0 ip address from 10.1.1.5 to 10.1.1.3. Then restarted network service. The host lose netwok connectivity, doesn't respond to either .5 or .3.

I reversed the change, and the host start working again.
So I rebooted to make sure that its working fine and bam!!!
The server hang during boot, on the console the last two lines says:
Bringing up loopback Interface: [ OK ]
    Bringing up Interface bond0: ?

    ? means flashing cursor.
The console is respnsive, you can type, but the OS is stuck at this point.
What should I do to overcome this?
    Thanks in advance.

    Already fixed.
    I reboot to interactive mode.
Bypass the "Bring up interface bond0"
    Continue normal boot process.
Restore previous config from backup file with:
    "system-config-network-cmd -i -c -f bu-net-cfg-file"

So be sure to backup config previous to any change with:
    "system-config-network-cmd -e > bu-net-cfg-
    file"
