I use one of my PC as a linux server runing CentOS. It have 192.168.... IP. I use BUFFALO WHR-G125 to conect to the rest of the world.

I want to access this local machine from out side of my local network.

I used port forwarding from the routers setting page.
    I used no-ip.com

change my apache lesting port to anoterh port like 8080

nothing seem to work and spend whole day today on it.

the following is the tracert of google from my local network (if it will help to figure out the problem)

over a maximum of 30 hops:

    1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms buffalo.setup [192.168.11.1]

    2 11 ms 8 ms 9 ms 10.7.153.254

    3 * * * Request timed out.

    4 23 ms 29 ms 29 ms z-atman-global.korbank.pl [193.111.38.225]

    5 57 ms 59 ms 58 ms de-cix20.net.google.com [80.81.193.108]

    6 57 ms 59 ms 58 ms 209.85.255.176

    7 65 ms 69 ms 79 ms 72.14.233.106

    8 66 ms 78 ms 69 ms 209.85.241.83

    9 86 ms 79 ms 69 ms 72.14.239.58

    10 67 ms 69 ms 69 ms mu-in-f104.google.com [209.85.135.104]

    Trace complete

    any help would be aprciated.

A better question is does your provide allow the standard ports through? Most providers are blocking standard port so that you cannot setup your own server and make it publicly available. You might have to move your listening port above 1024 for it to work.

8080 is also a standard port, for proxy server, it could also be blocked

it should be pretty straightforward, all you need to do is forward the port to the right IP address on your local network, it should just work

probably the problem is from the way I am trying to access it.

I have forwarded the required port from outside IP to my local IP

    193.239.x.x to 192.168.x.x

so how I can assess this local web server like:

    193.239.x.x:49501/192.168.x.x ?
