    DVD's doesn't play

    Hi,
I am using fedora 11 on my inspiron 1545 laptop. I can't play dvd which I borrow from netflix . I don't know the reason why it doesn't play in linux environment. However I can watch movies in Windows 7.
I Installed all the required library files for playing dvd. I followed the following link :my-guides.net - Fedora 11 Installation and Post Installation Guide

I am using smplayer for watching movies. Can any one help me why the video doesn't show up in smplayer. I think its even the same case in vlc media player.

Make sure that you have installed the libdvdcss package. It is only available from the Livna repository. The guide that you linked to has the instructions on how to do this.

    rpm -Uvh http://rpm.livna.org/livna-release.rpm
    yum install libdvdcss
