I am running RHEL and I want to setup open afs. It is partially installed and now I get dependency errors when I try to install it again. So I want to uninstall the package openafs-1.4.11-el5.1.1.x86_64. I try yum remove and it tells me that it is successfully completed. Then I try installing again and it tells me that I have the newest version. Is there anyway I can forcefully remove the package?

Also I installed apt because I dont care for yum. When I try to remove the package with that I get this error
