    Corrupt HD?

im trying to install Fedora on my Acer Aspire 3680 and when I get the live CD going and click on the Install to HD option its gives me an error saying that the device im trying to use in not a valid device or not present i took the HD out and put it back in and still the same error. Im thinking maybe the HD is corrupt? Is there a command I can input to check the HD see if anything is wrong with it?
    thanks

i am not sure but installation media may help instead of live media.
    just give a try.
    Sorry, it was unintentional.
You should have told me at least once and i could have fix it.
    thanks for reminding me.

    Welcome to the forums!

You can check/repair a drive with the fsck command.

Check the manual page for details on using it:

    Code:
    man fsck
    oz

Which version of Fedora are you trying to install?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
