What is updated when update ???

Maybe a stupid question, but... when I choose update software from the administration tab in F10, there is made an update to ALL installed programs or only for the base one ? I mean, if I installed something like sunbird or k3b or adobe (that are not included in the DVD installation), they are also updated or I must separate check for updates for these programs ?
    Thank you !

When you use the system package manager, all packages on the system are kept updated unless you manually installed something from sourcecode or if you installed something that is not available in your systems repos.

Thank you for the answer ! I build nothing, (I never succeedd !), so everything is from a repository or by a rpm file. The programs that I have installed locally with from rpm files with direct command (-ivh) or by double clicking and chose install with package installer, will be also automatically updated, I suppose ?

If the package exists in the repositories. If Fedora doesn't provide the package, and you found an rpm somewhere else, then no.
