Live CD Woes
The Machine:
CPU: The AMD Phenom II 940 X4 “Black Box Edition” 3.0 Gigahertz
Video Card: Diamond ATI Radeon HD 4890 1024 MB PCIE
Ram: 4 Gigabytes
The problem:
Live Cd's for Fedora 11 and 12 Will not load completely.
The Symptoms:
Error messages about the bios not clearing MTR or MRT(scrolls to fast) for each core.
X windows loads to black and red, then hangs.

Have you tried the disks on another machine to see if they work there, and have you tried other Linux live disks on your machine, and they worked?oz

Thanks for the welcome!
While I haven't tried the medium on another pc ( my other would be a macbook). However when i first built the PC I was able to get the latest version of Mint loaded. its been about 5 months since that initial experiment. I really want to let go of Windows so i you can help, that would be great.
I'm at work when i get home, i'll post a picture of the error message.
