Device drivers Compaq CQ40
Hi all,
I m very new to Linux and want to learn it and use daily. Please help me in doing so.
I have installed the device manager in fedora 11.
Device manager shows '?' mark for some devices. Does it mean that device drivers are not installed properly? I was looking for device drivers for my laptop Compaq CQ40. But couldn't find anywhere. My hardware profile link is smolts.org/client/show_al...8-5d69b1f0d75a .
Can anyone tell me where to find device drivers suited best for my hardware profile and how to install it..
please guide me....
waiting for answers with anticipations..
with regards..

If you are not facing any problem then there is no need to worry about drivers. Most of hardware is well supported in Linux and there is no need to install drivers except a few Graphics and Wireless cards.
I would suggest you to post the screenshot of Device Manager here. Link of your machine's Hardware profile is not complete. It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
