    [SOLVED] Installing qunata from installation cd?

    Hello,

    I recently installed fedora 9, and found that quanta plus is not installed with it.
    I guess that package is in the installation cd in the folder packages/
    but i cant find it..

    could neone tell me if i can install quanta plus like this?... if then, what is the syntax to install it?

    yes you can install software like this.
    all you need is to edit your repos files.
    these files are in /etc/yum.repos.d.
    i recommend you to backup of these files before editing.
    i know that works for fc.10. for fc.9 am not sure.

    You should have told me at least once and i could have fix it.

    Thank you girish for ur feed back.
    iwanted to use php with a good editor in linux... but I have switched over to using xampp in windows for ease of use right now.

    I will get back to linux a bit later.
