create VM with linux partition
Hi,
I have a situation where I am trying to convert my Linux Partition of my hard disk drive into a VM with VMWare Converter. And for that when I am selecting the Convert machine tab ->select source type as Powered-on-Machine I felt strange when I saw that the "This Local Machine" option is completely is dsiabled(greyed out) and I am only left with the other option i.e. "A Remote Machine".Whereas if am doing the same things under my Windows partition there is no problem.Any ideas how can I create a VM with my linux partition ????
Hard Disk Size: 500 GB
Linux Distro: Fedora 10
Thnx,
Shubh,

I'm not sure you can create a Linux VM when your Linux hard drive (partitions) is in use. I might be wrong since I am only marginally familiar with the use of VMware on Linux (tested it out a couple of years ago).
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
