    Talking Playing Media in Fedora

    Hi guys, the computer labs in my institute run Fedora 9. The audio plugins have not been installed...so we guys listen to music using VLC...since i dont have root access can i somehow install gstreamer or something similar so that i can play media? please help

    Welcome friend!
    you can get root privileges using
    Code:
    su
    but it need root password.
    if not configured to require root password, this allows users to run programs with the security privileges of root promting for user password(not root).
    Code:
    sudo
    check if you can do this.
