no menu in evolution- restore hints plz

So I did an automatic update a while back, and ever since evolution email does not have any menu bars.

I tried a reinstall with out any success,

Any ideas what I may need to re-install to fix this?

When you remove an application, the user configuration files will usually remain, so you'll need to delete those then reopen or reinstall evolution so that the config files can rebuild themselves. I don't use evolution myself, so can't tell you exactly where the config files reside within in the user /home directory. Maybe an evolution user will respond with more info for you.
