    How to reinstall F11?

Just curious, I have a F11 machine that is partly corrupted,
menus don't appear in several applications, machines beeps a lot while typing

I'd like to find out the best way to reinstall F11 keeping user files intact?

would a yum reinstall * be the solution or do I boot from the dvd and do a install/upgrade.

I tried the dvd approach but nothing happened..

    thanks

If you reinstall from the DVD, you'll need to direct the installer not to format the /home partition during the installation if you want to keep any user config files. If you have a corrupted system, the reinstall is probably the best approach, overall.

    Ok thanks,

I'll need to re try the install, last time it refused because it detected it the same os was already installed

perhaps I should try a yum reinstall * instead ?
