We have implemented Linux-AD integration using samba. It worked like a charm when we first implemented it. But, on some of the servers the integration was not stable. It would work for a while and then fail again. And it would start working again with no changes whatsoever. After a lot of analysis, trial and error we figured that this was happening when Samba resolves the DNS to an RODC.

Our system config:
Linux machines RHEL 5.1 x86_64 VMs
SAMba version: 3.0.33
Error :
$ wbinfo -t
checking the trust secret via RPC calls failed
error code was NT_STATUS_NO_TRUST_SAM_ACCOUNT (0xc000018b)
Could not check secret
$ wbinfo -m
Could not list trusted domains

AD is configured on Windows 2008 SP2 64 bit Server.

Kindly help ASAP as it is production ciritical. Thanks
