    Hello,

    I have real player V11 which plays only MP3 formats. Pls let me know from where i can get the coders to play avi/flv/mpeg.

    I'm also unable to play from movie player & unable to install VLC player.

    OS : RedHat Linux5 U4

    Hi and welcome to the forum.

    You can setup the DAG yum repository and then install packages like ffmpeg, gstreamer-plugins-ugly and gstreamer-plugins-bad in order for Movie Player to play restricted formats. You can also install VLC, but its the 0.99 version.

    I use both kaffeine and vlc on my CentOS/RHEL 5.4 system. As daark.child said, install the DAG yum repository to get VLC. Kaffeine should be part of the standard RHEL repositories and it can play most video formats, though it has problems with the most recent mastroika (.mkv) video files. For those I use VLC.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
