We've been directed to stop new app development in Motif because RHEL is discontinuing Motif in future releases. Anybody know anything about why/when RHEL is dropping Motif?

RHEL Discontinuing Motif?
We've been directed to stop new app development in Motif because RHEL is discontinuing Motif in future releases. Anybody know anything about why/when RHEL is dropping Motif?

No this is not true...
Perhaps a confusion over Fedora's policy where Fedora will only ship software released under an officially recognized OSI license?
Red Hat continues to ship OpenMotif with their commercially supported releases. Also one of their engineers is on the OpenMotif team and contributes many bug fixes.

I suspect that "Mark" who posted this on the om website is the same as mhatch who replied to this post originally?I have confirmation of the inaccuracy of the original post. Red Hat continues (and plans to continue) to ship OM with its supported versions of Linux...
