Fedora9-FTP/ telnet not accessible from external network
Hi All,
I have ftp server setup on my linux box with fedora 9, which works fine on internal LAN, but I cannot access FTP or telnet from external network with the public IP available, even though I'am able to ping the linux box. This was working fine earlier from both within and from outside network, but it stopped suddenly without any changes made. Please let me know if anyone has faced this kind of problem. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Have you checked the router/firewall to make sure the proper ports are open and forwarding to the internal IP of your box?

Hi coopstah13,
Yes, i have opened the ports for FTP and telnet in Firewall settings of the box. If there is any specific way other than using GUI wizard, please let me know.
Thanks a lot

but are you forwarding them? and I should add, that this should be done on the box doing the NAT for your internal LAN (typically a router/firewall box)
