Assuming your are running the GUI you should be able to right-click on the desktop background and select "Lock Session". At least that's what you do for KDE. For Gnome it may be a different selection, but it should be there, such as in the shutdown/logoff menu icon at the top right of the upper toolbar.

Not Functioning
There is an option in the dropdown list of Actions as Lock Screen. But its not functioning. Is there any other option or command to do so.

So, are you running KDE or Gnome? Since you mention a dropdown Actions list, I have to think you are running Gnome, correct?

Well, that should lock your session. But you say it isn't working. That's what you need to determine, what the cause of that might be. It's possible that it has been disabled. Go into your gui configuration utility and see if there is some setting that has disabled it.
