    Hi folks,

Normal before what? What has changed on your system? What have you updated since the last time a .flv appeared to play normally?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

Before it worked normal without problem. The frames of the movie were running on normal speed (I suppose 16 frame/sec). Now the frames are moving very fast. The objects on the screen seems running.

I haven't specifically update/upgrade any software other than running update as required on a notice.

You didn't note what was updated by any chance, did you? One of the video libraries may have been updated that caused this problem. Without more information, this is about as far as we can go. What about other video players, such as VLC? I usually use VLC to play flash videos as it seems to handle it best on my system(s).

Sorry, no. There was no warning as well. Anyway to chase it back?

I play "Youtube" and the .flv files download on Youtube. Clicking .flv file starts Totem. I think this is the only video player on the box.

Does display work fine for all other packages? If you have Nvidia or ATI graphics card and you are using proprietary driver, you have to re-install driver on every kernel upgrade.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

The display is working normal without problem.

Youtube was also working normal before. I didn't update driver lately. It is an onboard video card.

Ah, I have Windows Vista on another HD in this box. I'll check it later. I'm not on that box.

If you right-click on the .flv file, you should see an option Open With... which should provide some options - other applications that can play the video, if there are any. Totem is the default on your system, but most have more than one media player installed. I have totem, mplayer, vlc, kaffeine, xine, and a couple of others.

Right-click starts VLC media-player. It works normal but there is no sound, even turning sound on preference max.
