[SOLVED] Only a black screen resulted after booting

    Hi folks,

    Fedora 12 64bit - host
    KVM

Through difficulty and pain I succeeded update Fedora. However today when I boot the PC only a black screen resulted (gui booting). I can type on the black screen. Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del reboots the PC.

The PC is working. I have another HD running Windows Vista. It can boot without problem. I'm now running it posting this thread via IE.

    Pls help. TIA

Do you use Proprietary Drive for your Graphics Card? Graphics Card drive must be re-install on every kernel upgrade.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

you could download the driver, and move it using a flash drive. You could write down the URL to the download, and use wget to download it

    wget 'http://nvidia.com/whatever/the/path/is/driver.sh'

or you could use elinks to go to nvidia's site to get it

I can't give you example for ATI, since I never use them.
