    [SOLVED] Display Driver Problem

    I have a HIS 4670 display card with my asus p5kpl-am board running fedora 12
    after installing the driver downloaded from the official site,
    fedora cant boot into the login screen
    so i uninstalled the driver in single user mode
    then everyhing back to normal
    does anyone knows wht was going on?

    Well, looking at the HIS web site, I don't find any Linux drivers for this board. Where did you get the drivers? From ATI? And are you sure the driver supports Fedora 12 (which is the latest FC release - device support may be lacking as yet)?

    Problem solved
    You will get the correct driver after updating the system
