Shell script to automate s/w execution

I want to automate a s/w execution with a shell script.
But tht s/w asks for various user i/ps so how can i give these values from shell script?

using Here Documents would solve your issue.

But it doesn't work with other commands like scp or for installing any s/w.

I'm not wrong, for things like ssh/scp you can't use here doc, but creating password less login should work.
