In your file manager you should be able to do this. Dolphin is my manager and by pressing F3 it opens a second column which makes drag and drop fairly simple. If you go to the root or / you should be able to see win and be able to access your documents etc from there. Drag and drop from one column into the location you desire in the other.

Hope I'm clear enough for you.

    Hi Praveen,

    Welcome to the forum.

I have few queries relating to your linux installation.
You have mentioned that you are using Linux on a virtual machine. Which virtual machine are you using? Which is the Linux distro that u have installed on it?

The virtual machines have method of accessing one shared folder on the host OS, and do read write between on this folder from the guest linux installation running on the virtual machine.
    Linux Rocks!!!!
