I'd like to install Fedora but have no CD/DVDs or USB boot

Hey, the title pretty much says it all. I don't have any CD/DVDs to burn the ISO to and nor does my BIOS support USB boot. There was something I done once with GRUB legacy which was boot into a USB Live Linux but with the new GRUB, I'm not so sure how to go about it.

I have also already tried uNetBootin to download the files from the internet and reboot into the Fedora files but that only gets to the Fedora F logo screen and doesn't go any further when I try this method.

I'm currently using Ubuntu 9.10 and if possible, I'd like to do a full HDD installation but I figure I may only be able to dual-boot if I'm using this method because of the formatting to the hard drive.

I feel confident enough editing files in the terminal and that but I'm not sure about the new GRUBs configuration files as they are a little more awkward than the old version so I was wondering if somebody could assist me in doing this?

Thanks for any assistance in advanced.

Have you looked at this ? if all else fails then you could install grub legacy and then do the install the same way you have in the past ... see bottom of linked page for this option.

You can purchase CD's from a number of sources, including Ubuntu (Canonical). Canonical used to ship free discs, but I'm not sure if they still do. In any case, you are only paying for shipping and material costs, so it's generally pretty cheap to get Linux distributions on disc - generally about $25 USD (it's a swag - not firm price).
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
Just remember, Semper Gumbi - always be flexible!
