    ? ... what ldap?
I am guessing you've set up an openLDAP with an Samba PDC 3.n.
First you will need to add the computer to the ldap database.
You will need the samba-ldap tools for that.
    smbldap-useradd -w <machine>
Then you just need to tell the windowsXP Computer:
    Settings - System - Computername - Change
    Domain - Your Domain Name
Then you write user in the Administration Group... as example ... root
    And ... it should work.

Little warning ... I've got problems with such a setting because the synchronization of the Desktop and the Own Files isn't working properly ... meaning I've lost some files there.
