    Whle rebooting GRUB messae after restore the sysytem

    Hi Guys,

    I have Redhot Linux 3.2 version. Some problem on my system. So i formate the hard disk and restore my tape backup .

    Backup restoration was completed successfully. But after completing the restoration i am getting GRUB message.

    nothiing i cannot functioning on this time. Againg i have to restart using press the power button.

    Can any one please tell me what to do for this problem.

    Try to re-install GRUB.
    Boot up from Installation CD and type linux rescue at boot prompt.
    Code:
    chmod /mnt/sysimage
grub-install /dev/hda
exit
exit
    Replace hda with sda if you have SATA Hard disk.

    In case it doesn't work, boot up from LiveCD of any Linux distro and mount / partition of RHEL. Post the contents of /boot/grub/grub.conf file and output of fdisk -l command here.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
