Red alert !!
Hi, I have a domain name registered with Linux and noticed recently that when ever I view my website my CRAWLER TOOLBAR flashes red, and i'm unable to get into my site. It says Warning potential Virus and Spyware.
Why has it started to this this..?
Many Thanks

John,
as I tried to explain in your last thread:
You do not register a domain with linux.
A domain is registered at a registrar, and that is usually your provider.
For that crawler toolbar..
I had a quick look at what that thing is doing.
Looks like it scans for virii/malware before handing the http to the browser, but correct me if I am wrong here.
You surely have more experience in that product than me
If indeed the malware scanner blocks access to your site, then a) this could be a false alarm or b) you do have files on your site, that are virii/ malwareYou must always face the curtain with a bow.

... or C) Wesites that aren't properly registered are sending a red flag, because there might not be a proper digital certificate assigned.

I think we might all be as confused as you are after reading your posts, because so far as I know there is no way to send an email to Linux because Linux isn't a company or a person, but it's an operating system made up of the Linux kernel, various applications, and other files.
You can read up on what Linux is here:
Linux - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
If you are just wanting to transfer your website from one hosting service to another, any good FTP client can be used for transferring files. Getting domains registered, setup, and configured properly isn't a function of Linux, or Windows, but is that of the hosting companies involved and their clients.oz
