Need more detail on what program you are using to burn with. What version of Fedora. Any error messages you get when burning.
I use GnomeBaker for burning Media. I never had much luck with K3b or Braserio though other members use it just fine.
Make sure you have ffmpeg installed also.
ffmpeg audio/video manipulation
fedora 12 installation and post installation guide in english
Use the arrow in the box to read how to for fedora. arrow is invisible till you hover mouse on bottom of box.Last edited by rokytnji; 03-14-2010 at 06:50 AM.

I am using K3B and F12 I am not getting any errors.I check ffmpeg-0.5-5.20091026svn.fc12.i686 is installed. The media burns just fine and I can read it on other computers. The only system that I am having issues reading it is the one that I am doing the burning on. After I burn the media the computer acts like there is not a disk in the drive, even if i move it do I different drive on my system. It reads blank and pressed media just fine. Burned a disk on my laptop and it reads fine and all that but if I put it in the system in question then there is no disk in the drive. Thanks for any help in this matter.

Unfortunately. I don't run rpm based Distros lik e Fedora. I am a Debian user.
But I will try. Did your media reader read Cds when you ran Fedora Live, You say you can find and burn Media with the drive. Maybe all that is missing is the required codexs to read the media.
Playing Multimedia Files
* To play the most common multimedia formats, including MP3, Mpeg, rm, QuickTime, WMA and WMV, you need to install additional packages; when you install VLC Media Player, yum install will includes all the necessary codec.
* Playing DVD is more complicated because it involves restricted format. You need to install a DVD Media player and CSS Packages.
* Although Fedora comes with Totem Movie Player, it lacks DVD functions such as navigation through the menu, titles etc. I would recommend using VLC Player or Xine.
From Here
Hopefully. Somebody running a RPM based Distro Like Fedora, Open Suse, or Mandriva will chime in here.Linux Registered User # 475019
