    Hosts file

    Need a tad help, I edited my etc/hosts file to this:

    # Do not remove the following line, or various programs
    # that require network functionality will fail.
    127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
    192.168.0.100 linux.mynetwork.local
    ::1 localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6

    no ever since I have doen that and rebooted it Extremely slow on boot up and Im still waiting for it to boot.

    Does the line 192.168.0.100 linux.mynetwork.local have to be a .com?

    Where did i go wrong. This is a fresh install and have not done nothing else but change the host file. Please explain.

    What was the original settings in /etc/hosts?
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
