Audio Not Working on Toshiba satellite P100 after installing fedora 12

I've this issue where my audio on the laptop which is toshiba satelite p100 doesn't work after i installed fedora 12.

I installed vlc media player but still can't get audio working!!

For general info my audio driver is:

Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02)

I'd realy appreciate if anyone could help me out on this issue!!

    regards

if ur driver 4 audio device is installed then u should see the sound icon in the panel...
after that u can check in the sound settings(under preference menu) n check ur sound output..
Try "lsmod " to check whether ur driver 4 sound is loader or not...

    Open Terminal and type
    alsamixer
Make sure speakers and volume are turned up. Use the tab key on your keyboard to cycle through alsamixer screen. Use arrow keys to move through menu and move volume up or down. Use the m key to mute or unmute settings.

If you want a gui frontend for alsamixer. Use Fedoras Package manager and do a search for gamix. That is the gui frontend for alsamixer.
