    how to store the console messages

    Hi..,

    i have a question regarding , how can we store the console messages when linux system goes for reboot /is there any path that we can see these console logs. i need to check some ting on the console .

    so could any one help me on this ..

    The shutdown/reboot event and associated messages are found in /var/log/messages; however, not all applications emit information on their shutdown status. Anyway, look in /var/log/messages* for information. There are 5 files; messages, messages.1...messages.4
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
