Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

Are you using CLI in a terminal window (gnome-term, konsole, xterm, etc) or are you asking about an alternate console window <ctrl><alt><F?>.

plz inform the public fast. We can't look over your shoulder or read your mind.

You can use vga option in GRUB to set required font size/resolution in ttys. For Terminal/konsole, look into properties.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Since you're using (now ancient) Fedora 8, I'll presume you're using gnome-terminal. In the terminal window, go Edit-->Profile Preferences (this will edit the Default profile). Uncheck "Use the system fixed width font" box, then click the button beside "Font:", which will become un-greyed when you unchect the box. This will pop a "Choose a terminal font" box, where you can choose any installed font/style/size. You can undo it by rechecking the box.

Add vga=773 at the end of kernel line in /boot/grub/grub.conf file.

If you should need them, additional vga modes can be found here:
