Question Windows Login Recovery from Linux

My system is dual boot with Windows XP and Fedora 12. I have forgot the pswd to login to Windows which has only one user (no guest a/c). But I have access to Windows filesystem from Linux. Is it possible to do anything from linux so that I can ensure login to Windows? I have heard that it is possible to unset the registry bit for the pswd file (I may not look to be technically sound to express it). But don't know how. Can I get your suggestion/help in that regard?
    Thanks in advance.

you can install chntpw, mount the windows partition and reset it that way.

or you can download and burn systemrescue (as mentioned in the link) and use their version of chntpw

chntpw comes on the Parted Magic LiveCD as well. It's a free and quick download, and a great utility disk to keep on hand for such things.
