Have you got the synaptics package installed?

Try "yum install synaptics" as root. You'll need to restart your X server - log out and back in again.

I have the same problem, the touchpad does not work after installing fedore13-beta-x86-64 on toshiba-satellite U505. Using this command as root and re-start the x-server does not make the difference. I tried to press Fn + and press F9 twice does not help either.

    Any other suggestion?
    Thanks

    Fn + F8 twice. Not F9

    Hi,
For the Toshiba Satellite U505, it is F9 having touchpad and mouse picture , not F8. Anyway, before trying with F9, I tried with F8 as you mentioned.
Either way did not help, the touchpad still does not work. Any other suggestions?

Actually I have some points to share when trying to dual boot the fedora13-beta and windows7. One example, the flash plugin for firefox for x64 made the system freeze several times and you can only shutdown the system from the console after pressing ctr+alt+F6 and log in as root then invoke > shutdow -h now
    Thanks for the response.

Sorry, I run out of ideas as of now. I suggest you google around till someone can come up with something.

For this I suggest you make a separate thread for it to be noted properly

Hope you find what your lookin for!
