    Password required

I have installed the latest Red Hat Enterprise V6 and restarted, removing the DVD. It apparently requires a login before proceeding. I have used root as account and then used the password that I entered as root. It then tells me when I last tried to enter the system then stops. What, if anything am I doing wrong. Is there a set account and password necessary? Any help appreciated.

    Hello and Welcome,
You may need to create a normal user account and try that, I do know that on some distros root login is disabled.

Thank you both. I reinstalled RHEL 6 and this time I took the option to install options now and not later. That worked.
