    hosts file question

    a particular program (distributed.net client) i am using is having trouble contacting a domain name (us.v29.distributed.net) but i can ping it just fine. i figured adding the ip to the domain name statically in the hosts file would solve this problem.

    127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost aqua
    ::1 localhost6.localdomain6 localhost6 aqua
    204.152.189.144 us.v29.distributed.net

    the program still cannot find the domain name. this should have fixed the problem right? is it a client bug?
