    empty .tcshrc file

    Hello

Can somebody tell me how to create a central .tcshrc

Everyone at work accesses the same tcshrc configuration file and for some reason this file is empty now and I don't know how to recreate it.

Can somebody please please help me?

Every user has this link in his/her home directory .tcshrc -> /sw/conf/tcshrc.central

but for some reason the /sw/conf/tcshrc.central is empty now.

Does anyone know how to recreate it? Please help me if you know how.

    Many thanks

Someone probably cleared it out. Since the local user versions of the file are just links to the real file, anyone can potentially modify it to suit. In any case, this is not good practice. Default rc files, such as this, are usually stored in /etc and they are sourced in the users' local rc file. However, you can keep the central one in /sw/conf as you are now if you wish. I'm just saying that it isn't "standard" practice.

    Thanks Rubberman

Thank God I found a back up tcshrc.central file.
I simply copied it and it works fine now.
