For some reason, the display does not come on after a clean installation. There is a mouse pointer, that's about it. This is on a 64-bit system. I also tried a 32-bit installation without issue.

I'm wondering if my display adaptor is not compatible with the 64-bit Linux installation. Here is my hardware setup, some pointers would be appreciated:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300
Corsair 4 GB DDR3 RAM
Intel DP45SG motherboard (Intel P45 chipset)
ATI Radeon X1900XTX <- methinks this is the problem.

Any input would be appreciated.
