Package Managment...
Hey, I've been Using Linux for a while now, But mainly Debian/Ubuntu/Fedora and there spin offs.
I thought Fedora would teach me something new, But after i used it for a while i realised that only difference really was it's package management, Witch i had nutted more or less off the bat......
Before i move on to another distrobution is there anything i should learn from it before moving onto something harder like Gentoo or Slackware?, Or Is the whole RPM and Yum thing all that's different Fedora and Ubuntu, I just want to be able to learn more but in the way of my everyday work, I have got it 100% nutted, I've really hit a brick wall in how i can further my learning with linux.

Hello and welcome!
Yes, package management and the format of the packages used will be the biggest difference between those distros and others. If you want to learn more about manual configuration of distributions and how they work, some good options would include Linux From Scratch, Arch, Crux, Gentoo, and Slackware.
Hope you'll have fun with any or all of them.oz
